Sustainability Beyond the Basics: What’s Really Behind Your Clothes?

Sustainability has become a buzzword. Every brand claims to be “greener” or “more conscious.” But at SKOT, we believe true sustainability goes beyond a label or a nice promise. It lies in the choices you make every single day: from the yarns that are used, to the factories where production takes place, and even in how your clothes can have a second life after years of wearing them.

GOTS, Refibra and More Than Cotton

Our shirts are made from organic cotton with a GOTS certification. This not only means that the cotton is grown without harmful chemicals, but also that strict requirements are applied to working conditions. In addition, we use Refibra, an innovative fiber partly made from recycled textile waste. This way, we take a step towards circular fashion: clothing that not only lasts longer, but also becomes raw material for the next generation.

Transparency in the Supply Chain

Sustainability is not just about materials. It’s also about people. SKOT produces exclusively in SA8000-certified factories – a standard that guarantees safe, fair, and humane working conditions. This way, you can be sure your shirt isn’t made at someone else’s expense.

From Wearing to Sharing

We believe in clothing that lasts. A SKOT shirt stays in shape and looks good even after dozens of washes. And when your shirt has finally reached the end of its life, you can return it to us. We make sure the fabric is reused instead of ending up on the waste pile. Together, we close the loop.

Why It Matters

Sustainability beyond the basics means we don’t stop at being “a little better.” Our mission is to make fashion fully circular – without waste, without exploitation, with respect for people and nature. Choosing a SKOT shirt is more than fashion: it’s an investment in a future where clothing is part of the solution, not the problem.
