The shirt: less obvious, but still indispensable

The shirt: less obvious, but still indispensable

Almost 10 years ago, we started with a simple mission: to make beautiful clothes, as sustainable as possible. We started with shirts. Much has changed since then, both in the world around us and in how we dress today.

Ten years ago, dress shirts were the norm for the office, meetings, and even in your free time. Since then, the street scene has changed. Dress codes have become more casual, and comfort has gained ground. Sneakers with a suit, T-shirts with a blazer, and stretchy fabrics that are, above all, comfortable—it's now the standard.

Yet the shirt hasn't lost its value. Quite the opposite. Especially in a time when everyone is dressing more casually, a well-chosen shirt stands out even more. It instantly adds structure to your outfit and creates a neat, professional look. A shirt exudes attention and care—without being overly formal.

Sometimes it just feels good. You notice it when you're giving an important presentation, going on a job interview, or attending a special occasion. A shirt helps you present yourself at your best. It's a subtle form of self-confidence: you look well-groomed, and that influences how you feel and how others see you.

That's why almost every man still has a white and a blue shirt in his wardrobe. White for truly formal occasions. Blue as a versatile classic that goes with almost anything. They're safe choices, but also timeless.

Trends come and go, but the shirt remains. Perhaps less dominant than ten years ago, but still an essential piece. And in the next ten years? Chances are that the white and blue shirt will be ready and waiting for those moments when you want to stand out a little more.

Make sure you can combine quality and positive impact at those moments by wearing a SKOT shirt.
